With rigorous attention to detail, Robert Elwood solves complex tax and business problems for clients. Bob has extensive experience advising mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, and offshore vehicles. Bob has devised creative structures for numerous real estate investments, including REMICs, REITs, partnerships, and MLPs.
Bob has represented buyers and sellers of public companies and private businesses. He has advised entrepreneurs and owners of start-up companies. Bob also has significant experience advising clients on derivatives.
Bob taught corporate finance at Yale Law School and is a frequent speaker at investment management and other national conferences.
In June 2017, Haverford College presented Bob with the Charles Perry Award, given for exemplary service to the college in the area of fundraising. Bob's class raised over $10.7 million for its recent reunion, setting an all-time record for reunion gifts.
