Klehr Harrison Adds Two New Attorneys in Bankruptcy and Tax

PHILADELPHIA (November 12, 2020) – Klehr Harrison is pleased to announce that Sarah Herman and Zachary Schnapp have recently joined the firm as associates.

Herman joins the tax practice group as part of the corporate and securities department and is based in the Philadelphia, PA office. Schnapp joins the bankruptcy and restructuring department and is based in the Wilmington, DE office.

Herman focuses her practice on a wide variety of tax planning and controversy matters for both individuals and entities. She counsels clients with respect to structuring cross-border investments, including matters related to Subpart F, PFICs, FIRPTA, treaty interpretation and application, and withholding and information reporting regimes, including FBAR and FATCA reporting obligations. She advises her clients on a variety of federal, state, local and international tax matters and related fiscal arrangements. She previously worked at a boutique tax law firm in New York City before joining the firm.

Herman earned her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and was a member of the Order of the Coif,  and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Franklin & Marshall College.

Schnapp focuses his practice on bankruptcy and sophisticated restructuring and liquidation issues. He established a foundation of knowledge about the Bankruptcy Code and concepts of bankruptcy law through his work. Prior to joining the firm, Schnapp served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Kevin Gross and to the Honorable Chief Judge Christopher S. Sontchi in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. While in law school, he also served as Editor-in-Chief to the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law.

He earned his J.D. from Delaware Law School and his B.A. from George Mason University.
